Well looks like they are no longer tracking.

N11Y disappear over Hawthorne, and then a bit farther south over Coaldale the Cessna stopped tracking.

I used to fight/quest soooo hard for those few chances at air to air with rare airplanes. When I first started the website, promotional opportunities for aircraft owners, and just the fun of sharing their project on the new news outlet, the Internet. We were given a lot of really nice opportunities to shoot some really nice airplanes!

I used to spend a LOT of time lining up opportunities for A2A sessions, in a lot of cases today, I've found that the photo sessions go to whomever can pony up for the entire cost of the flight..

I could go into the math of what even a cover of a magazine like Air&Space Smithsonian or P&P... whatever nets a photog, ain't happening free lance!

Not meant as a rant, just a statement of hope that at least somebody is recording these historic flights!!

****load of hungry aviation photogs with a lot of $$ invested in equipment to waste opportunities to record aviation history in a very detailed way!

So she ended up in El Paso,

The world’s most popular flight tracker. Track planes in real-time on our flight tracker map and get up-to-date flight status & airport information.

Just curious, is she going to Ezell Aviation?

Nice detective work Dawg she’s at Breck! That is WELL deserved. I hope she comes out with a fresh coat of paint, it really needs it!

I dunno. When I saw her in the hangar here she looked a little used but in nice shape. I'm not a fan of the warbirds looking like models. But not my airplane.
My understanding talking to a mechanic out there is it was in pretty good shape mechanically, few squawks.
I guess if you can afford the Corsair and a Citation to commute to it in, you can invest in a restoration or IRAN though!

Well the owner owns a large Winery which is near where Whiteside is from. "Steadfast" days. Just maybe?

That last statement is what I was thinking. Chuck flew that plane plenty with that paint and I think it’s time! I imagine the plane is in great shape, but I believe that’s the new owner’s only WW2 fighter so he may as well make her a real stunner like some of the recent Corsairs to come from Ezell!

Ties in well with the Goldfinger sale! Saw those pics and didn't realize it was N11Y.
