    Default Pullies and Belts

I visit Shorpys daily, photos that draw you in for a closer look. Sure glad the LOC has archived all these fine historical photos.

American industry in the early 1900s.

Lots of pulleys and belts. OSHA would have a field day back in the day.

A lot of things going on in this shot when you zoom in.

The coffee pot on the machine caught my eye :-)

Must have been a scene when a belt broke, throwing things everywhere.

Even looks like a small stove/kiln, no safety glassed. All the rotating belt drives and shafts, wonder how many got one of their long aprons caught in one :-)
