    I can recall that Quiet Star being a frequent visitor at airshows around the Northwest in the '70's and '80's. I don't think it's been on display at the MoF in the 'Great Gallery' for quite some time now, though. It may just be up at the restoration facility just to store it.

    Not sure how you mistake that for a P-51 though.

    Not sure how one might mistake the QS for a Stang either but the eyes can play tricks!

    I believe the YO-3 is still on display in the Great Gallery at MoF. It was part of the Vietnam-era collection which included the Bell UH-1 Huey down on the main floor, directly behind the Lockheed M-21 Blackbird.

    No kidding, the older I get, the more looking at patterns, like dots, really messes with the mind

    The Quiet Star also ran a 3 bladed wood prop. I have a picture of it hanging on my wall fueling at Modesto Airport. They were doing some testing at Crowslanding NAS near Patterson CA, No services there, so they would occasionally stop at Modesto for fuel.
