    Looks like Mike Patey had a nasty accident this morning with Draco. No injuries.

    Major BUMMER! I spoke with Mike and his wife when they first arrived, they were SOOOOOOO proud of that airplane! Really a bad day for them but could have been so much worse!

            Wow. First thought was how "easily" the wings seemed to fold. Obviously a ton of stress was involved but still surprised considering Draco's capabilities. Glad everyone is safe and sound.

                Seem to recall John Putman had similar accident landing in P-51 "Georgia Mae" in 1985 with a strong gust from the left upending it causing cartwheel to the right..

                  Draco and John Putman should have used 14 with that strong of wind going on that day.

                    One thing is for sure, he does not ever slow down. I saw a picture he posted, Draco appears to already be disassembled and loaded in a trailer for the trip home.
