I wish Facebook people would post the same info on AAFO as I don't do Facebook. Thanks.

Wikipedia also says that, but it's hardly an official source.

I read where he died at age 81 on Oct.1 in Indio, CA Blue Skies & Tailwinds Darryl. He had aviation records still standing.

Got to meet Mr. Greenamyer at a NAG banquet. He gave a great talk about his experience with the SR-71. The kind of guy that lived a full life and left nothing on the table. RIP Mr. Greenamyer.

So heart broken for him watching the Kiwi Bird story.

                  He was the aviator.

                    He also raced dragsters.

His day job at one time.

                    Fastest plane at sea level.

                    More winning

                    Yet even more race winning.

                    Unfinished business.

Mr. Greenamyer is a big part of why we have Reno today

With his early involvement many others were inspired to compete....

Truly an Aviator and Pioneer of the highest caliber
