I'm glad you're taking my comments as comments, and not criticism. You have real talent and the willingness to work and to think about what you're doing. That's what it takes to do what you're striving for..

When you can I'd like to see that YAK shot (first in your post)processed a bit lighter and with some shadow detail dialed in. It looks like a great shot with the motion softened clouds in the background and it looks really sharp. I does look quite dark on my monitor but I'd really like to see what's in it. I personally really like to see into shadows -- I spend a lot of time lightening up pilots and cockpits to get things looking how I want them to look.

Some photos from the week before, being closer to the planes this year for the first time makes the photographers work so much easier shooting smaller focal lengths and having MUCH less heat blurr in between.

      Best regards,
      Florian

        Great work, guys!

Love the shots, especially Wayne's 3-ship Biplane shot from the Sunday Biplane Gold race (hey, I'm biased)!

If any of you got any shots of #3 Smokin' Hot™ Pitts, I'd certainly love to see them and we may make a deal privately for High Res files, if you know what I mean.

Sorry, I had some issues with the google drive picture links, now it should work.

Really nice, Florian. I like the tighter crops than many shots we see here.

We missed you out on the fence this year, Florian.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

I'd like to thank everyone for the fantastic photos! To bad there can never be grandstands at the inside corners of the race course; it would be the ultimate view and thrill for the spectators.

I wonder if Jim knew he was racing with the jack pads on??? Bummer.. That makes his speed, with jack pads and no inner doors, even more impressive. That thing is going to be fast when it gets dialed in. I better get to work.

Although, given the lighting, this was probably a late day test hop.
