  • Monday after the races at Stead

Since my flight leaves way before the Sun gets up, I decided to take an extra vacation day this year and fly out on Tuesday so I can stay later Sunday night at Stead

I was wondering, are you able to get into Stead, General admission bleacher are, pit area, where ever, the Monday after the races?

I usually stop by on the Monday after. I’ve had some really fun times on that day.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

Lots of activity early on the monday after, teams packing up and planes heading home.

Always enjoy (sort of) "Melancholy Monday." Vendors packing up, forklifts and golf carts running around all over the ramp, sound of all those aluminum poles from the teams pits covers clanking on the tarmac, departure after departure. Always amazed me how quickly this event comes around each year...and then, sitting in the GA Reserved stands on Monday AM, how quickly it all disappears.

Leave for Reno @ 0'dark:30 tomorrow. Like most, if not all of you, an annual pilgrimage that never gets old. To quote a favorite "Rush" song which speaks volumes about what this means to me:

              Summer's going fast
              Nights growing colder
              Children growing up
              Old friends growing older
              Freeze this moment
              A little bit longer
              Make each sensation
              A little bit stronger

Safe travels to everyone. Gird Your Loins, Boys and Girls. It's Showtime!
