Like I said, shorts and a jacket.

Weather pattern looks pretty stable so far. Mid 80’s, calm. Lows at night are getting pretty cool. Low 50s to high 40s. Hopefully we’ll see a little more variation in the forecast over the next few days but so far it looks pretty mild.

As of today still getting smoke/haze as they get one fire out another one starts up. Temp still in the 90's but nights cooling off somewhat.

Todays smoke is THICK in places. When I drove into Reno this morning you could not see the mountains on the back side of Stead except for a dim outline. New fire is at Emigrant Gap, hope they get it out soon. California needs to ban fires and smoke instead of sending it here. That'll work, right?
Looking forward to next week, nothing but airplane noise and the smell of avgas and Aeroshell!

Stupid smoke. Made a liar out of me. I headed north to Janesville today and it wasn’t bad that way at all. Definitely worse in town. Hopefully they’ll will smack that new fire down ASAP.

A new fire in Mono County and another near Redding overnight. Looks like another smoky Air Race week is shaping up.
It's been smoky here off and on (mostly on) since the fire started near Yosemite in what, June?
The news is saying this morning that the smoke and wind will be light enough for the balloon races starting today so there is hope.
