Reno means family!! My grandson was 16 months at this year's event, and it's also his second. Every time something would take off he'd climb up into my lap and say "Grampa.............airplane!!" over and over. Melts my heart to think about it.Originally Posted by Desertdawg

My kids started out experiencing the Reno Air Races on the east side hill and west end along the Red Rock fence line, great places to play in the dirt and see fast airplanes.
This year my 18 month old grandson has been to his 2nd Reno Air Race.

Not that I'm not into kids but somehow that classic shot of the 3 bladed "Rare Bear" got in the back ground. I saw my 1st Air Race in Cleveland at age 7(1939) & still counting.
