Also glad to hear the confirmation from Andy of 6 and 44 coming back this year, was hoping they would be on the list

0:45 shows an extreme example of the flow entrainment we are getting with the exhaust augmenters.
irememberspace.usIncredible slow motion footage of the launch of Apollo 11 with a fact filled narrator.

New turbos and induction lines are welded up and the plane is flying in time for the Air Venture Cup and Osk Kosh. He and the plane will be at the RARA tent.

Has there been a noticeable change in fuel consumption?

          Re: Hunting for microknots

I haven't heard about any fuel flow changes.

Can't believe we are already mid way through August. September is coming fast

Also speaking of September, Race #30 is on the cover of the latest AOPA magazine, and there is a nice article about Andy, the mods, and Reno.

I'm curious, a new piston design to decrease static compression or a new piston design to increase combustion speed/efficiency?

                Re: Hunting for microknots

Answer (1 of 3): The smallest diameter of the taper is at the piston head because that is the area of the greatest thermal expansion. There is more mass across the crown of the piston which is subject to more heat and where there is more mass and heat there is more expansion. By tapering this are...

The new pistons (old now from a couple years ago) are shaped to reduce friction on the skirt. That's where we were seeing sticking being an issue.

I'm (really) late on this one. But I figured this podcast would help hold everyone over until we get our 2019 Summary published later this week.
We talk with Andrew Findlay from One Moment Racing. We also answer your questions about landing off centerline and turbulence!

Glad you enjoyed it. Any questions? I try to share stuff when I can to get some discussion going and help pass the off-season...Actually the "off-season" is my on-season. I'm working on three different airplanes on a weekly basis, doing calcs and CAD. Nothing exciting to talk about (there's a reason they make movies based on drivers and pilots and not engineers).

Also just started our fundraiser for 2020. We don't sell our shirts or cups or other swag at the races, so this is it for us. The fundraiser from last year really helped us out with travel expenses this past September, which I really appreciate.

When you get us a ride!

While not required, it would be preferable that the aforementioned ride be faster than Race#30.
