  • The Kiwis are definitely comming!

News today from NZ is that the crew have started to disassemble the Yak-3 so it gets into the container and put on a boat for the USA and Reno. According to owner Graham Frew, the airplane should be delivered to Chino 2nd week of August, with re-assembly and test flight with a new V1710 towards the end of August and to be in Reno for qualification from September 11th.
Graham was at PRS doing the ground course with the Unlimited group.
You can check them out on facebook as Fighter Flights operates flights as Warbirds Ltd

It will be cool to see Race 35 on the course... small piece of trivia, Race 35 is the same number another Kiwi used in the USA to race, and set records, though he was at Bonneville and rode an old Indian Scout motor cycle...
And its not really new... but returning in different clothes as it was the Yak owned by Tiger and ground looped in 98 or 99

Latest news, Full Noise is now in her container and waiting collection to depart from Omaka and begin the trip to Chino!

Update: Full Noise has left Omaka for Nelson (about 2hrs away from Omaka in a rig) Where she will depart on the 3 week cruise to L.A. and Chino
