  • Harrier Demo Confirmed...

At Reno on Saturday and Sunday (for now).

Has there been a harrier demo at Stead? There are only 4-5 locations for the demo this year so congrats RARA

    There has been.
    I'm thinking late 80's?
Not exciting compared to an A-10 or F-22 (only in my opinion) but neat and NOISY.

My first Harrier demo was at, then, McClellan AFB. Very impressive. Many people have never seen the AV-8 in person and it's interesting to watch their reaction.

I'm willing to bet there will be one more military demo either the 16, 18, or 22. A-10 heritage may happen as well. It's nice to know that there are options once again. Now we just need the 15 on the demo list !!

Harrier demo is a mighty cool thing to see. its noisy. F-4 kinda noisy. But the F-4 is moving and goes away. The Harrier will sit right in front of you making just as much noise as an F-4, much closer, for a much longer time.

I got too see a harrier demo a long time ago at a really small venue in England called the shuttleworth collection... a mossie did some flybys too.. Very cool.

            Cheers,

            Pete

Love the Harrier.Still can't forget the F-14 G demo in 1994? I know, they are all scrapped, but one can dream.

F-14 was always cool. I just wish they had stopped playing that damn song!

You couldn't be more right: F-14's were cool. The movie and that song sucked turbine blades
