Very nice, Brad. Were you up early, or up late? I'm looking forward to seeing what people enter here...

How come you're the only one entering pictures?? I want to see some stuff from guys that have cameras, too.
Cool shot though. Those pylons are getting pretty flexible as they age.

Three credentialed photogs in this picture, not one of 'em taking a picture of Dread in the VOS during Tuesday Qualifying.

This is all over Facebook, because Facebook is not evil. Voodoo maintenance. 5DmkIII, 70-200, 200mm @f/2.8, untouched embedded RAW file jpeg. I shoot RAW only, this is the preview jpeg you see on the back of the camera.Click image for larger version

Great shot -- I'll bet it looks better here than it does on Faceplant...

Well, I recognize each of them and I can tell you that all three are extremely talented and dedicated photojournalists.... International in fact.

What your photo does not show is that these guys are checking to ensure that their settings are spot on.. One of the best advantages of DSLR photography versus the expensive high quality slide film the pros used to use is that you can proof your shots on the fly...

Lighting at RENO can be challenging!

Dealing with this is all these three fellows are doing.. do you note the haste that all of them are exhibiting in getting the "chimping" done before next subject flys by?

These guys do this for up to 12 hours straight, it's mentally and physically challenging. Little time for personal comfort, like drinking enough water, resting one's feet...

                      LOL...

Nah, they're just not paying attention. That's how you prove how important you are...

Haha! They've all met me. They know I'm a smart ass (dumb ass). It was an honor having them on my camper/at my camp. Great guys. They all got that shot. The "brilliance" of photography is that things are not always as they seem. The happy accident is that it was just what they happened to be doing when the camera caught them. Irony is neat. The Buick was well past 8 by the time my panoramic shot ended (I'm talking to you Mr. Wingman).

Ken shot some great portrait stuff after the day was done. The kind of stuff I'll treasure forever. I'll ask Ike if it's ok to post some of it.

^^^Shoosh. I was a bit, well, drunk when I wrote that.

Mr. Wingman Sir, it's just a panoramic with a little "technique" throw in.

It's an awfully interesting shot, though.

                                Well,

Very interesting year. Many incidents with positive outcomes. I'm so happy all individuals were safe and I was truly amazed at the excellent flying by all. The vampire and thunder mustang events were absolutely astonishing. I have attached a couple of shots. One of the Blues photo because that's I heard in the stands this year. The second was a simple thought..." Dude were gonna win".....no problemClick image for larger version
