So this thread.. let's all put some fantasy out there.. if you're like me, you often dream about Stead. What do you see in your deepest Reno fantasy?
Here's my shortlist
1.) Hinton Jr. buys Dago, and returns with corporate sponsorship
2.) Lewis decides to put a crap-ton down on the Cornell/Jackson Racer, and pit it against a 2-3-2 in full race form again, with Dawson, Hoot, and then Penney taking helm of the Bear once more.
3.) The Sanders Bro's bring a race-prepped Dreadnought with intent for Gold. (no laughing please). We all know #8 could do 470's on the course. Why not put a few more mods, a temporary Sept. canopy, and go for Gold?
4.) Miss Merced and Furias return. Furias ready to race. Merced sporting lovely colors in the Silver.
5.) Miss America returns as a super-stocker.
6.) The Rebel go's retro, sporting similar engine and cooling mods that the Ridge Runner boys played with back in the day...
7.) Diamond Back arrives with daily raffle tickets for rides during the Bronze heats.
8.) Oh, did I mention the rest of the Lewis Warbird collect is on display in the pits? Along with daily warbird fly-by's and mock dog fights.
9.) Heritage Invitational comes back, with display in the pits. All the boring GA and private charter display stuff moved to the far East of the field.
10. ) Media access granted to runway 8 / 26 during Unlimited taxi and run-up.
11.) Live-feed cameras on Unlimited course, pylon # 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8. As well as general coverage being broadcast back to those who didn't make it, via Velocity on Discovery.
12.) 3km speed record attempts on Wednesday, with all Unlimited Gold contenders invited to make 4 passes with clocks and judges ready.
13.) 'Doc' and 'Fifi' doing daily flights over downtown, selling rides, and escorted by Mustangs.
14.) Every casino downtown offering complementary admission/pit-passes to their table game frequents.
