Is it fair to say that Strega and Voodoo, in recent years, are going 50 MPH faster on similar to slightly less power?

      Re: Super Corsair

That 's true, but they sure weren't doing anything like that in the mid 1980s. Strega and Dago and Stiletto and even Sumthin' Else could run a lap or two at 440 plus, but tended to have spectacular failures when they tried to sustain those speeds. I think it's fair to say that no Mustang of that period was able to consistently run with the 4360s.

The Doc changed all that in 1987...

        Re: Super Corsair

I was told that the 3350 RB used to set the 3k was run for quite a few years "We would load it with nitrous and Lyle had a loop he would run regularly out of Van Nuys with it on"
The biggest issue with 232 is it had minimal time on a fresh engine that was then raced. Takes while to break em in.

The front half was from an A-26. The rear half (back to the firewall) was custom bent metal to blend in...what gave the Super Corsair it's distinctive 'hump' up front.
