    So I stumbled across this craigslist ad in San Francisco...Anyone able to positively identify it as a blade from Crockers Sumthin Else P-51?...It may be the angle of the photo, but it doesn't quite look like a P-51 blade in the photos to me.

    Yup. That's one of the P-51H blades off of Sumthin' Else alright.

              So, for those of us not in the know, why are all the blades from this prop scattered to the winds?

                John Crocker had a hard landing at Boeing Field in "Sumthin Else" that damaged the blades about 1990.
                Plane sat for several years, then was sold and returned to stock. The 4 damaged blades were offered for sale on a message board a few years ago & I think the buyers were supposed to pick them up at the races. I remember Scotty requesting the one with the most damage.
