  • Anything happening with 232?

    I heard a rumor awhile back that maybe it was going to a new owner, but then nothing... Does anyone know what is happening with this racer?

    Well that was underwhelming.

    I shall re-ask...what's up with 2-3-2?

            Marilyn Dash is reporting that 232 is for sale;
            People have kicked the tires with their checkbook in hand, but nothing has been finalized.

              I'm in the process of buying her. I plan on racing her at Reno also. The only thing holding me back as about $2,000,000. As soon as I'm able to raise that much money, she'll be mine.

              PS: don't hold your breath

              PS: PS: I do hope we see her around the pylons again in the near future.

                That's what happened to Critical Mass.

                  True Lon, although, as a point of order, Critical Mass was delivered from the factory as a dual control trainer (TF) so you might say she's being re-converted to where she came from. It comes full circle.

                    Hey Ken,

                    Any idea on expected first flight for CM? And any new pictures of the re-conversion?

                    Thanks,

                    Dave

                          Hey Dave,

                          The easy answer is it'll fly when it's done.. My guess is spring or summer depending on how the testing phase goes. Getting the hydraulic system dry has been a process, as an example. As warbirdnerd indicated, there is more information here: http://www.warbirdinformationexchang...hp?f=3&t=56766.
