      ....and understand a cracked header tank.

      .....he was trailing water or mist well into the mayday....so I had to ask what else happened

      (sorry,NO BARK INTENDED) just wanted to know what else ....

        According to the article Scotty G wrote in AC, the engine was down on power and was intermittently running rough in that race. After the Bear passed Voodoo it sounds like they decided to land instead of risking a catastrophic failure. We heard on here about the cracked header tank issue, but the AC article doesn't mention it in relation to the problems they were having during the race.
