They just changed the report to show that

What a relief, especially for the entire team that has worked hard get to this point.

          Re: bear on the pole?

I just watched a video of the 480 lap. If they are going to potentially DQ someone as "Flying High" for the elevation Stu was at then we are in for a repeat of last years nonsense.

Unless weather is crap tomorrow I think both Voodoo and Strega will go again.

I think Voodoo will Rock It and Strega will break 450 to get above the Buick.

There was a dust devil going into pylon 1. Stu took it wide to avoid it. This is according to Stu. High flying was not on a qual lap. He went high through four and five, called for the clock and dove down the VOS.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

                        Re: bear on the pole?

Per RARA published rules maximum course altitude is 250 feet, with some exceptions. FAA waiver establishes the maximum altitude under any conditions. Also, timing cameras are setup/calibrated for 50'-250'. Too high or too low =no time and may be cause for DQ.

Strega might, I highly doubt Voodoo will.

At these speeds and all the safety variables a pilot has to be concerned with, seems like too tight of a flying envelope???

Something needs to change, at least raise the ceiling some??
The Nevada desert can be a real motha to try and keep a high performance short winged aircraft in the available flight "donut". Glad the Bear got to keep her second lap. Nice work.

Personally, I like mine lightly breaded, no feathers.

Congratulations to the Bear Crew and Mr Dawson!

If the Bear has finally found her lost performance, then this will be a year for the books.

Didn't Voodoo have the wing or engine incidence removed in the off season?
