So of these three turbine aircraft, obviously C-GUTT runs away with it. And, I'm pretty sure he has more throttle as it has gone plenty faster before. But, the real question, is between second and third. With speeds that close, it would be very interesting to see the fuel burn differences.

The Legend wing is up where it was designed to be, if not a little slow. The Legacy wing, not so much. Then you have a difference in flat plate area, which probably isn't that much different.. Cool stuff!

without going in the twin engine direction, what engine are you going to use to propel an airframe that meets the 4,000lb limit?
sorry, but I just assumed a warbird or a warbird power plant.
If it isn't intended to race then your options are better.
this being a racing forum, that's the first thing that came to mind.
