      One out of another two-dozen Unlimited homebuilt's..

      At least this was has turned the course!

      Would make a heck of a sport-class racer with some $$

        Hmmm, it has been around 18 years since I have seen that. It is John Parker's 350 Unlimited racer that had an off-field landing in 1990 I think. It used to be hanging up in his hangar in Torrance. When he went to Reno I think he gave it to some guy, probably the same who has it now.

              IIRC it ran in the 280-290 mph range only time it attempted to qualify.

                That's generous, Jason. I believe his qualifying speed in '89 was 277 and change.

                    The 277 at Reno in 1989, was a result of his computer not working properly, and the engine running way to lean.

                    John know's how to make aircraft go fast, this is no mystery.

                    What was the 350 capable of, with a semi-stock TIO-540?

                    Probably near 350's.
