    Re: announcers and basic math

There are so many things they say wrong, don't get me started!

They could say different things about the planes sometimes too.
Every time Steve brought up Rare Bear he said the exact same things about it; "most heavily modified Bearcat in existence." And I can guarantee you he will say the same exact things about each plane tomorrow and Sunday...

I got tired real quick years ago of that "Bad Boys Of Air Racing" crap.

I'm also getting tired of hearing about the 2 R-3350 engined Sea Furies every time 924 (Centaurus) and Argo (R-2800) fly past.

And the senseless drivel, about who knows what, as the Unlimited's taxied by, then started introducing the field when they were taking off on 16 where the majority of spectators could not see what was happening and were pretty much clueless what he was talking about.

I guess I have zoned them out years ago and don't really here what they are saying anymore. Do like when someone from the racing class comes up to announce.

The "bad boys of air racing" has to go! Long over due for replacement! Goofs up stats, plane, and pilot info. It would be great to have an unlimited pilot in there like the other class's do for each race. I can't imagine anyone likes his announcing or ramblings.

Totally agree. And I've had it with him referring to Steve Jr as "Little Steve" or "Stevie Hinton" or "Little Stevie Hinton"...makes me want to spit. He's so bad.

Agreed that one makes me really angry too!

I wish Mike Mangold would announce for the Unlimiteds. Even though he's never raced in the class, he's 10x the announcer Stavrakakis is!
