I made a new post a few seconds ago, sorry I didn't see yours here. It looks amazing!!! Perfect alternative for Miramar!
Decided to re-join the warbird museum last night. Glad I did - they have a lot more hardware on display since I left some 13 years ago along with a very fine automobile museum. Just so happens that Mr Sherm Smoot (Czech Mate) is the current president. Now I have to go buy some of his Fighter Pilot Red from his winery . He had to leave in a hurry from last nights museum monthly dinner to finish crushing this years grape harvest. Other very interesting members include George Merritt (previous Hughes aircraft test pilot and author of 'The Aviator' and 'Cheating Death') and a ME262 ferry pilot from Germany during WWII. Can't wait to hear more stories from these fine veterans! Were very lucky to have a museum of this caliber in our backyard, and one that still puts on a quality airshow in a age where airshows are an endangered species.
I just wanted to give a shout out to all of the volunteers from both Estrella and Planes of Fame. Both teams did a fantastic job! In addition...thanks to the boy scouts (sorry, I don't know which troop number), the Civil Air Patrol and the Grizzly Youth Academy (class 31). We couldn't have done it without your help!
Thanks to all who attended. Hope you enjoyed the show!
