    This airplane looked (and sounded) wonderful at Reno. For me, though, it was a week of double takes. I kept coming around corners in the pits and finding myself staring -- after such a long absence I was constantly being brought back to 30 years ago when Frank Sanders was doing air shows in it. 924 was such an iconic bird on the airshow and race circuit for so long -- and then it was gone.

    I'm glad it's back, and the Sanders boys could not have chosen a better paint scheme.

    Maybe next year they could do their smokewinder show in it to make the deja vu complete? Pretty please?

      For me, that would be a bigger draw than the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds

        That might be a mute idea. If some people have their way we will never see the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds ever again.
