It would have worked great if they would have used some lord mounts between the platform and the airframe.

Were they surprised to discover that there was minor vibration and a wee bit of turbulence while racing?

It was an 80 lbs GoPro mount. Back at Kissimmee, the guys think it was something Thom turned on in the startup process that "shut it down". I am looking into something like Sawbones was using. It was an FPV system at only 5 lbs. They mentioned about losing signal when the plane was right over them, but that can be changed through changing the FPV tranmitter frequency and using an "older 72mhz" transmitter. As for "smoothness" new "fpv" servos and brushless gimbles are available, and you guys only thought I just flew little "toy planes" around the hanger.

They said it would die when Thom brought the power up. I'm still leaning toward that it was mounted to the same structure that the engine mount is attached to with no iso mounts.
