That doesn't make sense to me, unless the intake itself is poorly designed.

Less turns in the ducting path should always = greater net "...

So, you get a similar speed out of it (to a Sea Fury)?

It actually seems that 232 (Sea Fury) is faster.........

Based on last year's Gold races and so far in 2013.......I think you're correct!

Oh, and "back on" is not the correct term either. As long as the bear has been alive, it's had a paired exhaust setup. Though, the actual plumbing has changed many times. This latest mod to the exhaust changes all that...

I mean this with no disrespect to anyone on the team.
Whole new crew, with no baseline flights or knowledge of this plane before several major modifications to the plane with minimal flight testing. I wouldn't expect them to pull 500 mph lapsout of the box. At least its not overheating and slower.

Seems like a lot of things are being said that I would guess very few people could actually know for a fact.

Before I write 77 off, I'm going to let them pet the Bear and try to make her happy until Sunday... even when Lyle had her at her very best, she was moody after hibernation.

Let me know when she returns to the ramp covered in oil. That is the sign of a healthy bear in the good old days.

Oh, it will be covered in something, if not oil, then (What was that stuff that Dusty Crophopper was spreading)-(kind of smelly)?

They better drive down to Summit Racing and buy a set of Hookers, and the biggest Holly double-pumper they have, eh?
                                Cheers, Mate.
