I drove by this morning and I don't see a berm, but it is very over grown. It appears none of the sage brush has been removed. The entrance to the area is North down the road almost to the next cross street. This morning there was maybe a dozen cars/campers at the North end of the area. The South side of the building area is completely fenced off and a wire barrier running down on the West side of the property. The parking lot area on the North side of the building has sage brush also. I'm just trying to paint a picture so you can compare to what you experience last year. Hope that helps out.

that sounds exactly like it looks every year when I get there. Hmmmm. My drunken recon scout is not very reliable.

Feeling a lot more hopeful now!

    thank you very much.

After posting I got to thinking that my eyes were focused on the building area and the parking lot. There may have been a berm North of the parking lot, but I don't see that as an issue. There still is a street entrance that is roped off.

You mean I helped a Duck Fan? It's all good.

I will be there in 12 hours so no worries. I will figure it out and get settled as I always do. Wont be the first time I have had to go to war with St. Micheal's.

I am actually a Duck, not just a fan. But I like the beavs as well.

St. Micheals will never get a dime of my money ever again. The lack of respect they show air race fans and the way they treat the races like a cash cow to be milked to the last drop is disgusting and shameful.

I will never camp there again, and based on a lot of things I heard a large number of other people will not be either.

I cannot believe how I was treated by them this weekend.

Really? I was treated very well. Nothing but kindness and wormth the 3 days I was there.

While I do agree they are making a ton of money from people that stay there. Almost to the point of being a sin. But they do offer a service that is much needed.

I suspect that is the difference between camping AT the church and dry Echo lot camping.

Did you have to deal with "Big Joe" ?

I was threatened with physical violence.

Told my tent was going to be burnt down

Told I was a liar and never paid them

Told that I was PAN HANDLING PEOPLE????

This is all after I paid them and received my camping pass.

    Unacceptable.

I found a much better place to camp and will return there next year. I will never set foot on the church again, unless it is to take a dump on their steps.

Wow! yes I was AT the church and not the dirt lot across the street.

Sorry to hear about your camping there this year. I wouldnt want to go back either, if it had happened to me.
