Doesn't that sound great? Earliest memories (about 6-7) were of standing on the observation deck (remember those?) at the local airport and listening to Convair 240's start up, catch the smoke and propwash ,do a mag check and then depart. Maybe not 4, but 2 2800's sound pretty darn good as well. Or later years (10-11) and watching/listening to C-121's in the pattern. Light show @ night with 8 blue-exhaust flames. 4 3350's sound pretty good too. ahhhh...the good ol' days.
