Notice what's in the background to the left in the polished mustang picture? I believe that's the one the CAF lost in an accident.

1972. Miss Candace with the Bearcat prop, and that spinner is off of Zeuschel's N332. Zeuschel thought that running a Bearcat prop would make it go faster--he did the same thing on Howie Keefe's Miss America around the same time--but they never could get the gearing right and it was just a disaster. After Miami '73, both owners gave up on the concept.

Although I think I recall that Howie ran it one more time due to default at Reno '75 because he bent up the Aero Products prop at Abbottsford the month before and it was the only prop he had left....but it still didn't run any better.

Love the old shots. That green and yellow Sea Fury is not a real looker. Makes me wonder about owners taste, or lack of it back then.

Tally Ho II was owned by Jerry Miles, often flown by Fred Sebby and was sold to Wayne Melan and was destroyed in a fatal crash in 1987.

Different Gerry Miles Mustang. The original Tally Ho was the one what Wayne Melan crashed. Tally Ho II was in the late '80's and early '90's. That airframe is still around...Ohio, I think.

Great photos, thank you. For years, I thought Cottonmouth was the prettiest unlimited, so it's nice to see some photos of her.

RE: the Sea Fury group.....The fifth photo. I'm assuming Centarus power because of the pitch of the blades, and what looks like nine exhaust stubs poking out of the cowling........but, wasup with the prop?
