    Interesting exercise: Apply race car graphics to airplanes and see what you get. Some designs are pretty tame compared to race planes, but there may be some inspiration as well:

    Some of those weren't too bad. The A-10 CHP one was pretty funny. No, I will not argue with the CHP if they pull me over with an A-10 for doing 56, in a 55 zone. The Spitfire, ME109 and FW190 all looked good, but they should have done the FW190 in the old Mercedes 190 Cosworth DTM livery, that way it would have been a 190 scheme on a 190.

      Awesome. A lot of those are better than a lot of schemes I have seen at Reno.

        Over at the FSX Air Sports Association we have several very talented individuals who have re-created both historical race schemes as well as new schemes inspired by current F1 racers onto various Microsoft Flight Simulator planes - some are simply outstanding.
