Any details? I caught scanner traffic from RFD they are sending a unit with air bags to lift an aircraft.

99 and 777 midair. Pic I saw was 777 gear up off the side of the runway with a big chunk of the vertical missing. Both pilots ok.

Does anybody know who was flying the Blue Angel bearcat?? If it was Ezelle, he nearly stalled the plane after bouncing on the runway and slammed it into the ground. Thank God it's a Navy plane and can handle that. Anybody else see this?

Jet class. Both aircraft involved were L-39s.

Bagley in Ole Yeller doing a practice mayday on Runway 14 (the diagonal one), in the practice mayday they don't actually land but pull up the gear and basically go around, and when Bagley put her back in the air, Patterson in Lady Joe was turning around pylon 1 and they got pretty close to each other. Not their fault but bad conducting from the tower. I don't think they have race control during PRS either, they would've helped prevent that risk. Overall a pretty risky day and it's not even race week

Werd. I was watching that from Redrock. Sketchy. 777 had been running a sketchy line in the first session. It was fine looking when he was by himself but, looked dangerous in traffic. It looked very polished and very tight and fast. It looked like it was catching people out. I decided to leave as soon as the second session started. I had a bad feeling. 6:00 news confirmed my spidey sense is working just fine.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

                              Re: PRS Accident?

I just read the article in the Reno paper. I don't mean to armchair quarterback, and I know this just happened, but........the article said the pilot of 777 made two attempts at landing, and the second one was gear up. Judging from the damage to the tail, I wonder why elected to leave the gear up. I know, perhaps there was additional damage that I can't see. Did anyone actually see the collision..and perhaps describe what happened? Glad no one was hurt, that's the main thing.
