I doubt it will be anywhere near Reno as a racer, or static display. He won't even take it to Oshkosh..

I think the interest she has generated and the amazing job done by the team at Avspec's rebuilding her, KA114's owner should take her to Oshkosh, i know that Avspec's and Pioneer Aero Resotorations here in NZ have a swag of Reserve and Grand champion trophies between them for several P-40 restorations. Plus the fact that she will be in Canada i think the chances of her flying around the US might be pretty good

Sadly, it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Should have mentioned too, it's an incredible museum collection, and well worth the visit. Here's another bird I'd like to see around the pylons. Running an Allison now, but one of the docents said they supposedly have a Jumo engine being built.

I remember reading something about that Ally being built up in a magazine, i think it might have been Flypast or Classic Wings Downunder, It was built by A.C.E with a unique long nose case to fit the Radiator around the front.

Those Pioneer blokes are currently working on a Tempest Mk II [ older brother to Sea Fury] & are making good progress..
I wonder if Kermit Weeks will give them the job to get his [ex 486 NZ Sqd] Tempest V flying..since it is in the UK & they likely wont let it try..even if they ever do finish it..

                          Re: OT: Revell Mosquito Kit

What is the best speed achieved at Reno by an Allison V-1710 powered air-racer?

If that Allison powered long-nose Fw 190 went racing,
how would the [USN placarded Vne] 466mph IAS 0-10,000ft limit stack up?

For combat footage of a hard turning 190D streaming wing-tip vortex-vapour cut to 44:30 in this vid..
