    Re: Thunder Mustang trivia

I believe it was still there early this summer when we went.

What about the Turbine Toucan? Has it flown any shows yet?

      Chris...
I have not the time, money or desire to build one. I'm surprised that he or someone else hasn't built a similar airshow airplane. I understand why Wayne H. didn't build another, but surprise someone else hasn't come forward. I did get to see his act at Stockton and it was something to see. Ashame it only lasted for a year. I have seen the video of the crash, glad he recovered.

It has not flown any shows, and from what I understand has not flown at all in quite some time.

My good friend Tommy Rose was heavily involved in the early Thunder Mustang program, mainly with $$$. I believe he had the second or third one built. He and the program drifted apart. And then he bought the Questar and started working on it. That's the one that went in, in 2002 with the tail problem. I sure miss Tommy.
