    Voodoo last raced in 2011
Strega is retired (According to Tiger)
Dago is a true dark horse.

Dago or Voodoo with Skip at the helm!

I'll believe Strega is retired when I don't see it at Reno '13...with the unbeatable combo of Strega and Stevo, team Strega could run the table for literally years...which is why it makes little sense for them to be retired...

I agree, I'll believe it when it no-shows. He's "retired" before I believe.
Lefty did that. For a number of years "this is the last time".

Ufortunately spending $750k+ to try and win a $2-300k prize if everything goes perfectly only makes sense if you are in politics.

Easisest way to make a million bucks in Air Racing?

            Start with 2 Million.................

It was stated on Scotty's site that Matt Hoffman plans to put Dago back together at his own pace. I'll translate that for you.....None of us will ever see that plane fly again.

None of these racers are in it for the purse...they do it for the love of the sport...

                  Re: Where's the Bear??

Like I said before in this thread. I'm pretty sure both Voodoo and Strega will be at NCAR 2013. I am pretty sure The Bear will be too.

One can only hope that with Steadfast being sold, Will is still gonna be an owner/driver!

Ok, now throw in a "further modded" PM, a wicked up 232, a full-on return to battle Czech Mate, and we got ourselves a gold final!

gotta disagree about that, dago coming back may not be unfortunate for the the other racers. Any racer's dominance has been predicated on more than just the airplane being there. It is a combination of plane, owner, pilot, engine builder, crew, and a little luck thrown in. case in point, voodoo. Mr button put together a great program. look how long it took him and when he said no mas, he was very close. could they have taken the big trophy that year? we will never know. could they have started a streak? who knows. the point is if dago just shows up it will run fast but it takes a lot more to take it all.

I would love to see dago back in the hunt, even with the kelp and that ugly canopy that randy insists will go on it.
