    Naval Aviator- Test Pilot- and Legendary Thompson Trophy Racer

    Dick Becker passed away Wednesday in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio he was 86.

    Mr. Becker along with his lifelong friend Cook Cleland were the first to top 400mph in The Thompson in their F2G R4360 Powered Corsairs....

    Blue skies forever Mr. Becker...

    Didn't Cook just pass away also, not too long ago? Does anyone know the date? Just curious. Blue skies forever to these two legends.

      Yes, Cook Cleland passed away this past summer... I believe it was June or July.

        Cook Cleland died in Pensacola, Florida, on July 13, 2007.

        He was 90 years old.
