Mine would be "Remove Before Flight!"

Thanks. I'm not sure what I'd caption it as. Could be "remove before flight" as you have suggested, could also be "Reno reflections" or simply "Waiting"
Here is the original shot that I cropped down.

Really nice work! Airplane porn for sure!
I'm loving this photo share thread. I've got to get you young tech savvy folks to figure out the gallery function that each user is allowed...
I am, for sure, getting too old to deal with coding and "stuff"

If you are looking for a plane in the pic, good luck. There isn't one. This was from the Fenceline, wednesday last year. You really have to admit it can be really beautiful there.
Ok, I'll add an airplane...

Thom Richard during the 2014 Gold Final from pylon 8.
I was there & from what I heard (How True?) is that all four engines on the Super Snoopy were shot & that Clay Lacy left the plane there.:dunno:
How fast do you want to go kid?

Not a great shot but a great plane to see-
... at the end of the race they made a three-engine flyby, then came around and landed with all four running ...
... the DC-7 finished sixth in a field of 20.

To my recollection they flew between cruise and METO the whole way and never put any kind of strain on the engines. It flew back to Van Nuys...and was pretty much parked untouched until they flew it to San Diego 9 months later. After that, it got sold and hauled meat for another 4 or 5 years until it was scrapped in Beruit.
Here is a shot from 1973...you can still see the 64 on the front fuselage.
Polished to a mirror finish.

A long time ago...
The good news is that Thom and Precious Metal will be back, with a Griffon. I spoke with one of the crew at Oshkosh, and from what he said, PM will be back better than ever.
Thom must have really had the power pushed up to have that much prop blur at 1/1250. ( I was thinking 1/350 at most till I looked.) That is a really cool shot with the vapor out the oil cooler duct. I love the reflections in it. Awesome shot.

I love how the sound builds at this point.
Deep thought - who's eating all the Doritos and leaving only the Fritos?

The actual reason of the white 'sponsorship' area was to delete the previous registration.

My information on the 'City of Bellingham'/'My Wife' sponsorship on the side of the plane came from C.E. Crosby himself while sitting around one afternoon at Floathaven on Lake Whatcom. So while the white may have been to cover the registration, the lettering ON the white is spot on.
