    Bakersfield March Meet, the Mecca for nostalgia drag racing.






    Not what I wanted to see but the camera did an amazing job of capturing a crash. This is not a video clip but a series of 40 frames shot at 8.5 frames per second with my Canon 1dMKlln.
    (it works on my computer but couldn't get it to play on the site. If it won't play here just right click and save target)

    Victor - Great work as always. Love to see the old iron. I was able to get the crash sequence to play on my PC; I counted EIGHT barrel rolls ...very scary. Hope the driver is OK.

      Great stuff, but man that is a nasty ride. That does not look like the hot setup with that Armco barrier in the shutdown area. There should be concrete all the way down, at all drag strips that run the faster cars.

          do you have any videos or shots of the next accident? The one with the vette and the yellow willys?
