Nelson Ezell

Sad news out of Breckenridge this morning as Nelson Ezell passed away this morning.

My thoughts go out to Dude, Heather, Chad and everyone at Ezell Aviation.

Sad, and not terribly surprising. That was very bad crash, and head injuries are devastating. Nelson Ezell was very important in the history of Air Racing and even more so in the Warbird world. He will be missed.

I got a text on that before it was public. So very sad. Only chance I had to meet him
was Reno 2011, but it wasn’t appropriate to do so as we were all mingling in deep shock and sorrow.
