  • Reno 2018 Preliminary Schedule

Most likely going to be publicly posted within the next week or so...

    UNL Heat 1B on Thursday, 2B & 2A on Friday, 3B & 3A on Saturday, Silver & Gold Sunday

No surprises really, T-6 1v1 is back, Gene McNeely is doing an aerboatic routine in the Texan, CAF gets a 20min segment, F-16 with Heritage Flight alongside the Patriots Friday-Sunday, and Sport Gold is called the 'John Parker Memorial Sport Gold Race'. Pretty awesome way to remember him. All the classes look pretty filled up besides Unlimited; F1 and Jet have bronze races again.

There could be some military/exhibitor passes added to the list, this first revision was made on August 7th, wouldn't expect anything too drastic to change though...

Now that is special. Won't be dry eye in the place when they announce and start the first race.

All good...and let's not forget Smoke and Thunder Jet Truck and John Klatt in the Jet Waco. An entertaining show to go with a fairly robust racing sked. Good times await...

Agreed!! Huge fan of the jet Waco. Haven’t seen the Jet TRUCK in action yet! Only seen Shockwave...! They have it listed to race an Extra as well. Curious whose that is... there isn’t any high performance aerobatic act this year

That'll be John Klatt as well in his Extra300. As you mentioned, we're working several options around fly-bys as well. Given the uniqueness of Reno where we're pulling off an airshow within a very busy racing event there's only so many ticks of the clock available for performers.

Pulling off military flybys for airshows can be tricky, given training, alert status and deployment. As we always say in the air boss/air show world, the schedule will be final Monday morning!
