The guy was nervous about his first time PIC in a P-51 and had a couple bong hits to mellow out, he just didn't wait lang enough to sober up before going for it.

Since we live here in Colorado I've been following this closely. It was a sweet 51. I went down to see what was left after my friends at Beggles recovered it, not enough left to rebuild. To bad he took the instructor and a nice 51 with him. Again it's a case of a low time pilot with big bucks getting into a 51. Hard to believe he would get in the plane in that condition and we hadn't even made it legal yet.
