  • Quite a lineup

This was a race for the ages. Too bad hardly anybody actually turned out to see it...

looks like Bakersfield, I was there. Most the same airplanes and a small crowd made it enjoyable.

Nice wingtips on "Coyote" -- who here knows where they came from and what eventually happened to those tips? The ones on Mangia Pane bring back memories too. I think those were about the first non concave non "Hoerner" tips to be used on a clip Wing Mustang.

I bet Bucky would know. :-) But they didn't last much longer.

Looks like they came from Jeannie, and were probably on the then Georgia Mae when it was cartwheeled by Mr Putman. That was kinda unreal when it happened, pretty windy.

Technically, they came from Miss Candace.

Good point, but they came to everybody's attention on Jeannie looking like this.

Pretty historic photo there Sledge. I hope that if anything ever happens to you that you've made some provision for preservation of your work over the years. You have a lot of important and high quality stuff. It would be a real loss if your photos ended up in a dumpster somewhere. Don't laugh -- it has happened more than once...
