Huge loss to the world, I can't think of many (if any) musicians that were more talented than he was.

This video used to be the top result when you searched "best guitar solo ever" -it certainly is pretty damn good.



His death also hits pretty close to home for me. One of my Dad's first jobs in the Music Industry was working as a guitar tech for Jesse Johnson who was a guitarist for The Time, one of Prince's bands. A ways down the road Jesse owed my dad a couple months pay and ended up giving him this guitar. This has always made an already special guitar even more special. Now with Prince's passing I find myself cherishing it a little more...

I almost bought his white one about 10 years ago on ebay.

We can only hope that the paisley park staff dips into the vault.........but does it properly unlike how the guys did with michael jackson's stuff.

It's funny you bring that up, the original case for his white strat is the case I have for the pink one!

Could not agree more with that, I heard a well-backed rumor that there is a least an entire album's worth from the Purple Rain period in that vault.

I think your sentiment is felt by many. Prince created volumes of great music in a short amount of time.
