    Before 232 was September Fury.......

    I believe this would have been '88?

    Any insight would be great!

    This would be the last Reno appearance, before going overseas, correct?

    Yes Robs raced her there in 1988.

        There was a long excellent article in Paul Coggan's "Warbirds Worldwide" magazine by Robs Lamplough about his experience bringing 232 to Reno to race it in 1988. At that time he had never even been to Reno so he was a total rookie trying to qualify in the biggest Reno Unlimited field ever. That article is one of the very best looks I've ever seen at what it is like to race at Reno.

        There is a lot of warbird history wrapped up in that airframe.

            Nope, the other way around I'm thinking. Pretty sure the paint job on the spinner originated with the Sea Fury in Canadian Naval service as the paint job on "232" represents in the pic above.

              OHB was the first civilian Sea Fury to have the star on the spinner.
