This same thing happened to Collings last year up here in Seattle at Boeing Field. It's a county owned airport and therefore the county tried to lump the warbirds in with 'commercial' flights that were going in and out of the field. It was a misunderstanding about how insurance standards were applied, and it resulted in a firestorm of complaints (including myself...a county employee) to the person in charge of the decision. They were overwhelmed and realized that they had made a mistake. While it was too late to make changes last year, they were able to make proper arrangements for this year and the future.Comment
