I remember those. I also remember small, radio-control versions being quite popular for a time in the 1980's when small ducted fans for RC jets came into play.

I used to have one. I don't remember who made it but it was a blast to fly. I would love to have a real one.

Wow! That thing sure looks touchy in the pitch axis with that short-coupled layout and long nose.
