Who does this Cat belong to? I only knew of a few flying survivors. This AC seems to have had a deep history in the fire fighting bis.

That looks like the old Mike Bogue/Gary Flanders Tigercat out of Oakland. Last I heard it was with the Sanders family in Ione being restored.

The Sander's traded or sold the A/C 4 or 5 year's ago. I remember it being stored in the corner of their main hanger, you could barely read the Sis-Q Flying Service on the nose. Mike Brown would buzz the field up at Ione, when he had Big Boss Man!
Grumman made some great A/C.

So THAT"S part of the story on this particular 'cat. I saw it many years ago at Livermore and haven't seen it since....I thought it went to Europe or some place far away.

I remember 4 of these birds painted and outfitted like E23 in the picture coming into Napa and fighting fires in the late 60s. They would land on taxiway Alpha and fill up with retardant that they mixed up in a big doughboy pool at the edge of the south ramp. Then they would take off again on runway 24. Quite an operation and fun to watch.

The ad says it's located in Morgan, Utah. That's only about an hour from me. Unfortunately, I'm about $2.5 million short.

I would totally buy this thing......if it were closer to me. Guess I'll wait for the next one.
