  • Air Racing collectable??

Was wondering if anyone here would deem this collectible
Size is large. Made by WATKINS Pasadena, Ca.
The outside "paint" is pretty bad, it sounds like a bunch of
cellophane/tinfoil/bubble-wrap when you put it on!
Was given to me a few years ago but its to small for me.

Thanks for the interest everybody but it seems to be sold!

To answer the question that seems to already be answered, yes, that is collectible. I'd call it pretty darn cool and I wish I had one.

Curious how much it sold for? I'd estimate, $100?

So here's the 1983 Christmas card from Tiger and crew, and you can see the jackets here.

They were made by Jim Watkins, who designed "Porsche-style" custom jackets for various rock bands, movie stars, etc.

Flashy and cool looking, but you can see by the flaking of the silver coating that they didn't 'wear' very well.

I would have paid alot more than $100.
