  • EAA response to hearings

I contacted Mac McClellan from the EAA about their participation in the upcomming NTSB hearings....here is what he said. (see Below). I for one want to read the transcript of the hearings. BTW, I see 280 odd folk read my post that we can have input to the hearings as a group or as individuals but no one answered. That is your choice. I for one will be e-mailing a letter that basically will say that I am much safer at the races or at an airshow than I am out on the roads in my car with all the drunks, druggies, bad drivers and little girls texting on their cell phones while attempting to drive.

    Hi Chris,

Yes, EAA is one of the "witnesses" as the NTSB calls participants in
this type of hearing. Rod Hightower will represent EAA before the Board.
Rod will make a brief opening remark, and then individual Board members
can question him and the other witnesses on any aspect of air show and
air race safety they wish. So, we can't know what direction the Board
will take with their questions, but a complete transcript of the hearing
    will be made public.

    Bests,

    Mac McClellan
