  • Super-detailed Aluminum aircraft models!

The modeler's name is Young C. Park, and the planes will make you think someone invented a miniaturizing ray like something out of "Fantastic Voyage".

His works are just mind-blowing. Metal skins are "riveted" on, real cables work the control surfaces via the cockpit controls, etc...the detail is simply outstanding!

Wow is right! I would half way expect the engine to crank over and fire up.

If you are in San Diego or plan on visiting the corsair model is on display at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park.

Guys like Young Park, David Glen and Pierre Scerri (see below) are why I tell my wife to not let me get involved in modeling under any circumstances. I would want to live up to their standard, which is simply impossible.

Impossible standard? Nah! Anyone with patience, time and the DESIRE can do it. But I can honestly say that the Mrs. wouldn't be seeing very much of you ("DAMMIT! Are you down there in the basement working on that *%#@!* plane again!?")

I am have some desire, but not enough. I do lack patience, time, and most importantly, TALENT. That's okay though, I have other things I can preoccupy myself with that keep me out of trouble outside of the home, and in trouble inside of the home.
