  • Its 3:30pm Sat. 10/29 What Plane Is It?

    Hey,

Its Saturday 10/29 3:30pm and I'm in the back yard in Lemmon Valley soaking up the sun and theres a plane doing acrobats, sound like a big radial over Red Rock. I can't tell what it is from my vantage point.

I know there's other AAFO member enjoying the show as well.

    What is it????

    Life is good.

It may have been an SU-29.
I didn't see it doing aero but one flew over heading in that direction, climbing out of Stead over Cold Springs about that time. They sound pretty mean.
On the 22nd there was an A-26 headed into Stead. Went over with the gear coming down. Silver with black nacelle's and yellow cowlings, tip tanks.

      Leo,

Thanks, I knew someone else must have heard it.

I try to pay more attention next time.

It was still fairly low and the sound got me looking. I've seen him up before.
This time of year I'm outside a lot when I'm home, getting ready for winter!

          Morning,

The A-26 spotted may have been "Sexy Sue" a On-Mark conversion based in Van Nuys. I believe it's N7079G.
